Community Guidelines

Dear user, we aim to create a friendly, respectful, and safe environment for everyone. These Community Guidelines outline the standards we expect from all users. By using the app, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may lead to warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the platform.
1. Respectful Communication
Respect is at the heart of our community. Always treat others with kindness, even in disagreement.
Discriminatory, hateful, or abusive behavior, including harassment, bullying, or threats, will not be
tolerated.
- Be Kind: Treat all users with respect. We do not tolerate harassment, bullying, or hateful behavior.
- No Discrimination: Do not share content that promotes racism, sexism, homophobia, or any form of discrimination.
- Respect Boundaries: If someone indicates they are uncomfortable or asks you to stop a certain behavior, respect their wishes.
2. Appropriate Content
- Keep It Clean: Do not share offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content. This includes:
- Sexual content or nudity
- Violent or graphic imagery
- Hate speech or abusive language
- Toxicity Filter: Users can choose to enable a chat filter to block offensive language. Please respect others' choices.
3. User Safety First
- No Personal Information: For your safety, avoid sharing sensitive information like your full name, address, phone number, or financial details in chats.
- Report Suspicious Behavior: If you encounter harassment, inappropriate content, or suspicious activity, report it directly through the app or by contacting support.
- Anonymous Sign-In: The app uses anonymous authentication to protect your identity while ensuring a seamless experience.
4. Responsible Matching & Chatting
- Genuine Interactions: Engage respectfully with others. Spamming, trolling, or sending repetitive messages is prohibited.
- Skip & Exit Politely: If you're not interested in continuing a conversation, use the Skip or Exit options respectfully.
- No Promotions or Spam: Using the app to advertise, promote services, or send spam is strictly prohibited.
Protection of Minors: HipChat strictly prohibits content or behavior
that exploits, abuses, or endangers
children, including Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) material. Violations of this policy will
result in immediate removal of offending content, account suspension, and, where necessary, reports to
relevant authorities.
5. Zero Tolerance for Harmful Behavior
- Harassment & Abuse: Any form of harassment, threats, or abuse will result in immediate action, including potential account suspension.
- Illegal Activities: Do not use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purposes, including sharing illicit content or engaging in harmful behavior.
6. Premium Member Conduct
- Premium Benefits: Premium users enjoy special features like ad-free experiences, filters, and a premium badge. However, premium status does not excuse inappropriate behavior. All users must follow these guidelines equally.
7. Moderation & Enforcement
- Content Monitoring: We use a combination of automated filters and user reports to help maintain a safe environment.
- Violations: Depending on the severity, violations may result in:
- Warnings
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account bans
- Appeals: If you believe your account was wrongfully suspended, you can contact support at hipchat.help@gmail.com.
8. Help Us Maintain a Safe Space
- Enable Filters: If you prefer a cleaner chat experience, use the chat filter feature to block inappropriate language.
- Stay Aware: We encourage users to stay vigilant and report behavior that violates these guidelines.

9. Changes to Community Guidelines
We may update these guidelines to reflect changes in the app or community standards. Major updates will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance of the updated guidelines.
HipChat reserves the right to report any confirmed CSAE content or user activity to law enforcement
authorities, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or applicable regional
agencies.
Our Community Guidelines will evolve as we grow and as new challenges arise. We're committed to keeping
